Project keyVCS-1768Project descriptionThe project activity involves installation of 216 MWac (corresponding 261 MWp) solar power project in Tamil Nadu. The project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 346,117 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing 3,58,559 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian electricity grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel based power plant. Total estimated GHG emission reductions for the chosen 10 year renewable crediting period will be 34,61,169 tonnes of CO2. This project was open for public comment from 31 May - 30 June 2018. No comments were received.
