Project description
Dereli Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) is situated on the Aksu River, within the jurisdiction of Dereli Town of Giresun Province, North East Black Sea region of Turkey. The purpose of the project is electricity production using the potential energy of Aksu River as a renewable resource. Therefore, the electricity is going to be produced without causing airborne pollutants or Green House Gas emissions. The construction and operation of the Dereli Hydroelectric Power Plant will be delaying the addition of conventional thermal power plants to the Turkish National Electricity Grid.The project is expected to reduce an annual amount of 83,983 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions.
